When Is $72 Million Not $72 Million
The creativity of our airport relocation opponents never ceases to amaze me.
Our local “airline executive” has posted an item on his blog in which he strains logic to the breaking point to claim the FAA $72 million grant for airport relocation is “about as close to zero support as it gets.”
I know a lot of projects and organizations that would like to have $72 million worth of “zero support.”
Back in the real world, here’s what the FAA said in awarding the grant: “We commit to work with the Panama City – Bay County International Airport District toward the successful completion of this project.”
For more information on the value and meaning of the FAA grant read this post and this post.
